Visiting Health Providers
We partner with provider groups to bring experienced primary care doctors and nurse practitioners, podiatrists and other specialists directly to our community on a regular basis. In addition, we partner with Medicare-certified providers to offer covered nursing services; physical, occupational and speech therapies; and hospice and social work services.
Care Services
Full-time licensed nurses and 24-hour personal care assistants are available to all residents receiving care. Residents can choose from a large menu of supportive homemaking and healthcare services, like daily safety checks, assistance with dressing, bathing, medication management and more. Our list of available services is extensive and includes two-person and mechanical lift transfers, assistance with insulin and other medical needs.
Housekeeping and Maintenance
Enjoy a maintenance-free life. We take care of regular upkeep on your apartment home, including appliances and all common spaces. We can provide add-on services like housekeeping and laundry. Personal maintenance requests can also be accommodated.

If the apartment of your choice is not available, you can put down a refundable deposit to be added to our waitlist for that specific unit.
If you (or your loved one) aren’t quite ready for senior living, but feel the time is coming soon, don’t hesitate to visit us. The sooner you get on the waitlist for the specific type of floor plan or view that you want, the more options you will have when the time comes for a move.
At Amira Choice Bloomington, your independent living monthly rent includes a spacious apartment home complete with a full kitchen and in-unit washer and dryer. Your monthly rent covers utilities such as electric, gas, water, trash removal, recycling, expanded basic digital satellite TV, wireless internet and 10 meals per month. Apartment home and appliance maintenance repairs and plumbing are also included.
Access to our many community amenities is also included in your rent. Enjoy a chef-prepared meal in our dining room, participate in a fitness class, or join other residents in the community room for a birthday celebration. The library, outdoor plaza and art studio are available to you as well!
At Amira Choice, apartments are available for rent. Our leases are month-to-month, so there are no long-term commitments.
Your Medicare or health insurance does not pay for senior living rent. However, it may help pay for some of the services you receive while living in our community. Some residents have long-term care insurance plans that may help reimburse them for some of the day-to-day expenses of assisted living, memory care or enhanced care.
Amira Choice Bloomington accepts a limited number of residents receiving Medicaid covered nursing services, assistance with activities of daily living and other services. Please contact us for additional information.
If you are choosing independent living (with or without add-on services such as laundry and housekeeping), you do not need a doctor’s order to move in. If you sign up with our assisted living, memory care or enhanced care living options, you may need a doctor’s written order. This is especially true if our care team will be assisting you with your medication. When you decide to move in, our healthcare team will provide an assessment, discuss available services that may be beneficial to you and be there to coordinate with your doctor every step of the way.
Yes, you may work with any healthcare provider that you choose. You can continue to go out to your doctors’ appointments as you have been doing. There are also doctors and other healthcare teams that visit each community.
We provide residences and care for older adults of all faiths. You do not need to be any specific religion to live in our communities.
Absolutely! Your family and friends are welcome to visit you anytime. We encourage your family members and friends to be involved in the life of our community.
