Behind every Amira community is a team of dedicated professionals committed to enriching the lives of seniors. Meet our team members who are passionate about making every individual feel supported, connected and at home.

Kelly Royten

Executive Director

Kelly has worked in long term care, memory care, hospice, independent and assisted living and subsidized housing for over 20 years. She started her career in senior living as a server in an assisted living community. Kelly has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and is a Licensed Assisted Living Director and Nursing Home Administrator in Minnesota. She enjoys spending time with her family, as well as camping, traveling, playing volleyball, crafting and reading.

Miriam Aaland

Director of Sales and Outreach

Miriam has more than 20 years’ experience in the senior living industry as a Sales and Outreach Director. After living abroad and traveling the world, she is looking forward to expanding her travel experiences in the years ahead. Miriam enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and friends, as well as outdoor activities such as sailing, biking and cross-country skiing.

Kristen Cedarbloom

Director of Health Services

Kristen started her career as a nursing assistant and has worked in the senior living industry for over 25 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Minnesota. Kristen loves all things coffee, walks on the beach at the lake house, and spending time with her three children, one dog and eight chickens.
